Parents' Association's Holiday Cash Slash

We are pleased to share with you details of the NHGS PA Holiday Cash Splash. More so now than ever, the school is in need of our support as they continue to recover from the challenges Covid placed on the school budget.
The school's computers in the ICT suites and the science department are in need of replacement. The age of them means they are running slow and are taking longer to update causing delays in lessons. In total there are 85 computers which need replacing and the Parents Association have been able to approve funding for 34 of them at a cost of £11,000, which will ensure one of the two ICT suites are fully replaced.

To support the funding we have applied to the Yorkshire and The Humber Community Fund via Lloyds Banking Group for an amount of £5000. The bids from all charities have been placed into groups and employees are able to
vote for the charity of their choice. The bid with the highest votes will receive the full amount they have bid for. As this is only available to employees of the bank we would like to ask that if you or anyone you know works for Lloyds
Banking Group please show your support by placing your vote. Voting will remain open until the 30th June.

We are really keen to take this further and aim to raise as much as possible to fund the replacement of the remaining 51 computers that are needed. Our goal therefore by hosting this raffle is to encourage you to support us in raising
the c. £17,000 that is needed to make this happen. Please help us by buying tickets and encouraging your friends and family to get involved and buy some tickets too.

The best part of this raffle is that the more tickets we are able to sell, the bigger the prizes become, and as an additional bonus, if the winners tell us they want their winnings in a foreign currency, ready for their holiday, we will
also arrange that too.

There will be 3 prizes:
First Prize - 15% of the funds raised
Second Prize - 10% of the funds raised
Third Prize - 5% of the funds raised

Examples of the potential to win BIG:

If £2000 raised =
1st Prize - £300
2nd Prize - £200
3rd Prize - £100

If £5000 raised =
1st Prize - £750
2nd Prize - £500
3rd Prize - £250

Raffle tickets will go on sale from Monday 13th June and will cost £1 each.

As with our most recent raffles, we will be selling tickets online only (sadly we cannot accept cash or circulate paper tickets). We will use the online raffle platform ‘GalaBid’ as we have previously.
You can register and purchase tickets HERE.

The raffle will close at 6pm on the 1st July 2022.

The draw will take place on the evening of the 1st July, with winners being notified by email.

Best of luck to all those who enter.

NHGS parents are automatically members of the association. NHGS PA organises events to raise money, to have fun and to provide opportunities for parents to meet one another.

The PA meet the first Tuesday of every month, usually at the school.

There are lots of ways in which parents can help and the more parents who come along to support the PA, the students and the school, the more the workload can be spread.  You can commit as little or as much time as you like but any kind of help is welcomed and very much appreciated.
