Our Vision

NHGS is the school that everyone wishes they went to: where enthusiasm is infectious and excellence is standard; where co-operation is at the heart of all we do, where everyone strives to achieve their goals and is mindful of the right ways to do so.

We equip our students with the knowledge, skills and understanding to navigate life with confidence and set courses of their own choosing.  Together, we develop the whole person by:

Living to Learn I Learning to Live

Student behaviour and ambition”, “quality of relationships”, “very supportive colleagues”, “the right work:life balance for me”…are some of the comments from the latest staff survey and this, together with our employee benefit scheme and generous pension provision makes this a great place to work.

In November 2023 we were graded by Ofsted as Good overall with an Outstanding Sixth Form.  Of particular note was the frequent use of the word ‘joy’ by the inspectors to describe the experience of being in our school

If you share our vision, we’d love to hear from you.
