• Governance Professional to the Governance Board and Academy Trust

Mrs Wright joined NHGS in July 2005 after 14 years in the travel insurance industry working her way up to Claims Manager and then working alongside the Managing Director and CEO of the company.

Mrs Wright has been Personal Assistant (PA) to three former Headteachers at NHGS and PA to members of the Leadership Group. She was also the school’s Personnel Officer until 2015. Mrs Wright continues to work as PA to the Headteacher and 6 other members of the Strategic Leadership Group. She supports the school’s international work, liaising with Headteachers and her counterparts in countries across the world. She takes an active role in school extra-curricular activities and has led on Comenius trips and accompanied students to France.

She has been Governance Professional to the Governance Board and Academy Trust and various different governance standing committees in her time at the school. Mrs Wright is also an Independent Governance Professional for Calderdale Local Authority and supports a number of governing boards in primary and secondary schools across Calderdale and Kirklees. She is also proficient in managing complaints, exclusions and disciplinary hearing panels.

Outside of school life, Mrs Wright likes to spend time with her family and friends and enjoys interior design and renovating her home, gardening, walking, body boarding, cinema, reading, dining out and travelling.
