Head of Faculty - Sixth Form Subjects & RS

Mrs Sharma is a friendly, approachable and highly experienced school leader who is passionate about creating opportunities for students to thrive and achieve their potential. She is currently Head of Sixth Form Subject Faculty and continues to lead Business, Economics and Politics at NHGS. She previously held the role of School International Co-ordinator, developing international partnerships with schools in India, Japan and Peru and creating opportunities for students to broaden their experiences, raise their aspirations and develop a greater understanding of the wider world.

Mrs Sharma brings extensive experience of leading large and diverse faculties across a wide range of subjects. Her previous leadership roles have given her a strong understanding of curriculum development, teaching and learning, and the importance of providing students with a consistent, ambitious and enriching educational experience. She is particularly passionate about student outcomes, encouraging students to become confident, independent thinkers and supporting them in achieving their aspirations.

Alongside her leadership responsibilities, Mrs Sharma is an experienced Economics examiner, giving her a strong understanding of examination requirements and what enables students to succeed. She has a genuine passion for Economics and enjoys reading widely around Economics, business and current affairs.

Mrs Sharma holds an MBA from the University of Bradford School of Management and is currently studying for the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), further developing her strategic leadership knowledge and skills.

 Outside of school, Mrs Sharma enjoys spending time with her family and travelling. She particularly enjoys exploring new places, experiencing different cultures and creating memories with her family, which reflects her wider passion for encouraging students to broaden their horizons and understand the world around them.
