Mrs
Lamb

School Welfare Officer

I am the person you come to see for any medical assistance . I am also part of the school Well-being team, working with Mrs Booth and the pastoral team.

I run a drop-in service during the school day so if you have any worries about anything you can pop in and see me. There are a wide range of issues I try to help with emotional, physical, behavioural or maybe you are worried about a friend. If you require some advice, support or just a chat then please come and see me. Please don’t worry and think 'she will think I’m daft' or 'she won’t be able to help with that', just try me. We try to make transition as smooth as possible and the majority of you will adapt easily enough but some of you may worry and become anxious about some things so please do tell me if you feel anxious about anything.

My other role is medical. I am based in the medical room, E5 which is down on the E corridor next door to the lower school office and the pastoral leadership office. During the school day if you feel unwell, injure yourself or just require a plaster, please come and see me. Please do not ring home and ask your parents to come and get you. I will see if I can help and contact your parents if needed.

I am in school daily and work from 8am to 2.30pm so if you need to see me about anything you can see me before registration and I have my lunch during Period 3 so that I am available over the lunch period. Welcome to the NHGS family and I look forward to meeting you all.
