Well-being Manager

I'm the school's counsellor; my fancy title is Well-being Manager. That means that I've worked with school students for thirty years helping them with any worries, low self-esteem and relationship issues. Before I was a counsellor, I was a teacher and Year Group Leader, so I am also here to help students to 'engage' with school life by helping with any work stress, organisation or sleep issues. My aim is to help you settle into school life and grow your confidence because I think that if you feel happy, you'll do well. I'm in school every day and see students by appointment in my office near the music department. Students just email me if they want to talk - it's as simple as that! I look after my own well-being by walking, reading and watching films with friends or family. At NHGS your well-being is very important to us, so perhaps take time to think about what makes you feel good and make sure you do things which lift your spirits over the summer, so that you're ready for life with us in the NHGS family :)
