Spanish - Year 7

You will learn to understand and communicate information in Spanish while also learning about Spanish speaking cultures and communities. You will be encouraged to make connections with the grammar of Spanish and your own language, while developing your skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The Claro 1 textbook forms the basis of the Year 7 Spanish course content but significant time has been built into each unit to allow for extensive recycling of items across different contexts.  Pupils will be exposed to a range of high frequency sentence patterns, before the explicit teaching of grammar and rules, with a view to reducing cognitive load on working memory and facilitate language learning for communication.
