Joel Robertson
Joel is currently taking a Gap Year
and will be spending part of the
time in South America undertaking
voluntary work through the Christian
organisation, Latin Link; no doubt, he
will use this opportunity to develop his
knowledge of Spanish since he has a
keen appetite for languages which has
led to his decision to study Japanese
at Edinburgh University on his return.
Academically talented, he is not only a
gifted linguist but achieved top grades
in a broad range of subjects at GCSE
(4 A*, 4 A and 1 B) and then gained A
grades in A level Biology, English Literature and French as well as a grade
B in Latin. As Head Prefect, Joel played a very prominent role in the life
of the school, managing and motivating the Sixth Form Prefect Team.
He relishes challenge, achieving Black Belt in Taekwondo, completing
The Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award and teaching guitar, having reached
Grade 8 standard in this instrument.
