At the North Halifax Grammar School:

• in the last three years 416 students have sat 1,286 A-level exams; the pass rate (A – E) at A-level has been 98.7% and 57% of entries achieved A-B grades

• as a Specialist Science School there is an enhanced range of post- 16 courses in Mathematics and Science
• there are well-qualified, specialist staff, experienced in teaching at post-16 level
• there is a well developed tutor system which provides support
• regular monitoring helps students to sustain effort and focus in their studies
• we provide a range of opportunities for students to participate in Drama, Music and Sport
• a range of experiences and training is organised to promote personal development
• there is excellent careers advice to help students plan for the next stage
• in 2008 103 students went on to study 77 different courses at 46 different universities around the UK
